Why I’ll never tell you what I’m about to paint

A frustration is that I can’t say a thing about new art until it’s is well underway. Paint has to be on the canvas. Graphite has to be on the page. Otherwise, inspiration is skittish and runs away. It’s a fine line with model shoots, because even there it’s the kiss of death (for the picture) for me to describe it to the person who’s working with me to make the masterpiece. No one gets a pass.

I wonder if this happens to the other artists.
