Now this is interesting. I see paintings I’ve never painted. I see them done in a more mature style. Very nice. I’m anxious to paint them.
At the same time, I’m preparing to offer most of the old art for sale – something I keep saying but have not accomplished as yet.
I have pieces that will likely never be offered, but only a few. The rest maybe will find new homes.
When we get a sunny day I’ll get new photos of them. I have numerous car related cartoons and those can be re-printed but many are already mounted on foam board because they’ve been displayed.
There is a series of small pencil and chalk on paper sketches that date form the middle 1980’s and early 1990’s when I went out in my car and sat and sketched local scenery, mostly trees and sky and night scenes.
There are animal drawings and landscapes and people sketches.
Those little landscapes were an interesting turn. Some of them were quick captures in waning dusk and I am assured that my grandfather had little regard for impressionistic art because of his disappointment in them. None were drawn from photos. When I had good dusk light I drove looking for pretty scenes.
I’ve just now made a mess of the house to temporarily configure a camera under the house hooked up to the network. I must see what creature makes all that noise down there. Then I can formulate a plan to remove the thing. It’s moved under the bathroom So now I have food for bait and a camera and microphone on it. Surely the food impossible to resist. I’ve thrown a bit of pancake and some cat food.
