Why is that inverse relationship there? Often the absence of posts ignores a significant background story that’s in play.
Tomorrow I’ll run the Europa on the street and see how she does. I had tires put on the Alloy Lotus wheels, but one of them lost air quickly. That’s fixed.
I got the motor running by replacing the alternator (slop in the shaft), and assembling new plug wires (old ones were not made right), and replacing the voltage regulator (I suspect either the points were compromised or it just needed adjusted). It ran very well. But then on the way home from getting the tire fixed, the temp gauge and fuel gauge both pegged. The electrical diagram for the vehicle led me to the voltage stabilizer. I knew this day would come so I had a new one already, same as the regulator. It had different connectors so I had to make a couple of adapters.
The stabilizer has one spade connected to the alternator and ignition part of the fuse block Two other spades connect the two gauges. The stabilizer is tasked with delivering ten volts to the gauges. Apparently the ammeter and oil pressure instruments don’t need this treatment. I see that the one that was in the car was not original. I suspect the integrity of the ground connection between the circuit board and the case and since I’ve cleaned that up and reassembled it, I’ll hang on to the one I replaced.
Sympathy please: I owe the IRS. Honestly, I expected a refund.
So that I could work in various sized canvases and still hold to the same ratio, I wrote myself a chart so I could bundle my stretcher bars for the canvases needed. All are the same ratio of length to height that corresponds to 8.5 X 11. So 12 X 16, 16 X 22, 36 X44 etc..
Then I went looking for old paintings I can improve, especially in this ratio. This is for a landscape set that I can use to make a calendar.
There are some paintings I am pretty sure will not be displayed but are worth keeping. I’ll take them off the stretcher bars and roll them up for a storage tube. Some paintings may not survive. Most will.
Meanwhile I’m preparing the map and ramping up to write stories about the people and regions of Chichiyaboo.
If I can get things rolling, then I won’t have to fully resume the life of a hireling.
