Fork in the Road

There are three main themes that I go to when I create art: people, landscapes, and cars. Seems to me that my best chance to burrow into the market place is to pick one of those to focus on and leave the other two for recreational art.

The one that makes the most sense for that is machines – mostly cars.

Speaking of which, the Europa has left “project” status. It runs, stops, drives, and acts like a real car  now. Fingers crossed. It hasn’t gone a full week without a breakdown since I put it back on the road. I think we’re in business though. And for the record, the car is as fun as it’s often reported to be. I’m glad I got it to this point at last.

Note this: it finally completed 40,000 miles since new. It sat around a lot over the past few decades.  Fun car.

Fall begins. Trees are doing their painted horizon thing.

I tried out the Lotus alloy wheels. They’re off the car again so I can refurbish them. I liked them. But not more than I like the steel wheels.

The inner web should be black on the alloy wheel.

I had to wash all the finger prints off. It’s so small that my can for picking berries makes a good wash bucket.

Turns out she’s not a bad night-traveler.
