I decided to get the furnace tuned. The mechanic said ‘no can do’ until I had the firebox vacuumed. So now both jobs are done and I’m $450 poorer.

Then the furnace and AC blower stopped working. I suspected a capacitor. I was right. See it there with the number 10 on it with it’s innards all over the side after extruding out a hole that wasn’t there when the thing was made.

I bought a replacement on the internet that will show up eventually. Then I shopped until I found a brick and mortar business who sold me two for less money. I got my AC back!
