A few nights ago I was asked to drive a friend’s mini van around the corner so something could be loaded in the cargo space.
I slipped into the cockpit and turned it on. Even in the 1980’s the Toyota motors were so smooth! It started right up and purred.
Navigating it out of the drive way and to the intended destination was done with quiet ease and as I sat there marveling over the experience I asked myself, “Why aren’t you driving one of these? Why are you sticking with your old vehicles that leak, shudder, break, and worry you?”
Later, I drove home. Only a hundred feet along, I found myself saying, “Oh yeah! This is why I drive this thing!”
Both experiences are sublime in their way.
