I can’t ignore that I am more active artistically the less I immerse myself in political matters. Painting, and art in general, is more likely to happen when I listen to the right sounds instead: music, nature, and the voices of good people.

Politics tends to be more about the lesser qualities of people. The other sounds enliven the heart and illuminate the imagination!
