These were found in an old book. The one of dad was from an old brownie box camera photo and was drawn during my all vertical lines period
The one of the girl was pencil from when I was in Junior high. Both sketches were subject to the application of linseed oil which I thought looked “really neat” at the time. I could have just used toned paper.
Note how I carefully affixed the ink sketch below to the book: plastic tape! It’s the pattern sketch for my first wood cut. In the old days I used what I had at hand and is sure seems like I did things the hard way a lot of the time.
