Two years ago I lent my carpet cleaner but the borrower refused to let loose of it so I’ve vacuumed, but not cleaned my rugs for all this time. It happens sometimes that I lend and lose. The pattern is the same: this happens when I don’t enforce a short defined borrowing period. This doesn’t happen often because I don’t allow it usually. I’m not sure what the borrower was thinking, but I moved on and went to the store. Now I have a new one and I’ve put it to work.
For me, one thing leads to another thing. In this case, it led to the inspiration to clean out the microwave. Much nicer now!
Even better, I have an office that got filled with boxes and clutter as part of a renovation project in another part of the house. It was a mess. Just awful. With clean rugs and a sparkling microwave, it made sense to put the room in order finally. It’s useable now! I did some nice improvements along the way and vacuumed up the dust.
I got my room back!
I also figured out how to address something that had caused me grief. My toaster oven glass was an awful sight with grease that wouldn’t respond to any of my removal schemes until today. This time I hit pay dirt in the form of a single edged razer blade. All fixed! It worked on the big oven glass too.
