Brenda got me a fossil rock a few years ago. I call it that because there is the impression of a trilobite in it’s surface.

This week I was looking at the rock  and trying to figure out why it was cracked.

Upon inspection it fell apart into many pieces and inside I discovered a cute little trilobite fossil intact!

When I was a boy, my best friend ordered a two or three inch trilobite from a comic book and I was a little envious. When the I moved he gave gifts and to my surprise even though we were best friends he gave my brother the  fossil instead of handing  it off to me. Nothing could persuade my brother to give it up.

So now, I have my trilobite!
