Something’s happened and I like it. Carburetors have always seemed like daunting little mysteries that I’d be better off leaving screwed together. Now, if my carburetor needs looked at, I’m the one I go to.
The proof was when my Land Rover kept a high idle and it would not respond to the turning of the idle speed screw the way I expected. I determined to go home and pull the Weber 34 ICT and get to the bottom of the mystery.
Moments later, I realized what was really wrong and fixed it on the spot.
They are still a mystery, but now they’re a fathomable one.
Good thing, too. Because I have three vehicles that breathe through them!
