Months ago it appeared that my Bamboo forest was dying. A little internet sleuthing suggested that the die-off was a natural phenomenon which would cost me my forest.
Today I went out to remove the dry stalks only to discover that the plants seem to be rejuvenating.
I’m not cutting any more down. Let’s see how things go. I saw this a month ago and reasoned that if the plant died from the root upward, then the far seed clusters would be the final bit of green. Now those are bursting out in actual leaf.
Stalks look dead, some of them. But maybe that’s part of the act.
